Algiz Meaning

Algiz is the rune of protection, and when you receive Algiz as an answer in deviation it means you are safe, Gods are protecting you, so you know it’s going to be ok. Algiz is a very positive rune, and more then once I got Algiz in seemingly dangerous and very unstable situations. Getting Algiz made me feel safe and miraculously all those situations ended well, the dangers passed by, and it was fine in the end.

Eihwaz Meaning

Eihwaz is a very powerful rune, a center, or a spine of the Futhark and it’s as important. Eihwaz is a rune connecting the Underworld through Midgard with the Upperworld, the spine of the universe and the Yggdrasil – the World Tree. That’s why it is often connected with Shamanic experiences and practices, but Eihwaz meaning is even deeper than that. Eihwaz was my best and most illuminating week of the whole Rune Circle so far and the most powerful.

Isa meaning

Isa is the rune of ice, which can be seen even from the name. The graphic of Isa is one vertical line, still, without reversed position. In the North ice was not just associated with winter as the time of year, it had a meaning of dangerous and difficult time. Though I’ve associated Isa more with stillness and a period of inner development the week was not easy, and what more with a dangerous fall on the slippery surface near the water.

Nautiz meaning

Nautiz is not an easy rune, even semantically it is connected with need, but at the same time it can be very useful when in need. I haven’t expected an easy week to begin with, but it turned out better than expected. Nautiz week was mainly about getting everything necessary done, but done successfully.

Hagalaz meaning

Hagalaz rune often makes people afraid, especially those who are just starting working with runes. But for me Hagalaz is a really great, powerful rune, it’s a freedom and uncontrolled power of storm, nature and very witch energy. Hagalaz can be associated with power of our subconscious and sometimes even collective unconscious. Hagalaz represents a very ancient power and can break any barriers.

Kenaz meaning

Kenaz is a Fire rune. And the fire here can have different interpretations. It is fire of creativity, new creations. According to the Northern mythology Fire together with Ice was the main element of the universe creation. So if you need some inspiration “fire” to create something new, in job or in personal life, Kenaz can help here.

Kenaz is also a cleansing fire and can have more negative meanings, but for me Kenaz week was mostly positive, a change for the better from Raido week.
