Rune circle afterthoughts: it’s more powerful than you expect

It’s interesting to look back on the rune circle already done. This article started with the thought about Gebo rune and Gebo week and initially I wanted to update it with some afterthoughts. But then I’ve seen the dates on the Dagaz post and understood I probably need to add more, since the changes are beyond expected

Othala Meaning

Othala is a very important rune to me personally. Once in a really bad and scary situation I was asking runes if we were safe and I got Othala. I felt safe and sure after that, and even when the situation seemed to get worse I believed in Othala power. And against all odds we were fine and safe after all. Since than I feel a deep connection to Othala.

Laguz meaning

Laguz is a water rune. There’s not many fully elemental runes, but Laguz is one of them. The other Laguz meaning is witchcraft, and my Laguz week was truly magical.

Inguz Meaning

Inguz is an interesting rune: to start with, Inguz has two possible graphic forms and that is really unusual. Both forms have been seen historically and I don’t think there’s a right and wrong one, but I suspect that one is older. For me for this week only one form worked.

Ewaz meaning

Ewaz is a very magical and powerful rune. For me it’s magic and might, and a quick ride seeing no barriers. Teiwaz meaning

Teiwaz is the first rune of the third and last Att. It is often connected with Tyr and warriors, being a men’s rune and a sacrifice rune at the same time. It’s really a complicated and “hard” rune. Algiz Meaning

Algiz is the rune of protection, and when you receive Algiz as an answer in deviation it means you are safe, Gods are protecting you, so you know it’s going to be ok. Algiz is a very positive rune, and more then once I got Algiz in seemingly dangerous and very unstable situations. Getting Algiz made me feel safe and miraculously all those situations ended well, the dangers passed by, and it was fine in the end.

Eihwaz Meaning

Eihwaz is a very powerful rune, a center, or a spine of the Futhark and it’s as important. Eihwaz is a rune connecting the Underworld through Midgard with the Upperworld, the spine of the universe and the Yggdrasil – the World Tree. That’s why it is often connected with Shamanic experiences and practices, but Eihwaz meaning is even deeper than that. Eihwaz was my best and most illuminating week of the whole Rune Circle so far and the most powerful.
