Inguz is an interesting rune: to start with, Inguz has two possible graphic forms and that is really unusual. Both forms have been seen historically and I don’t think there’s a right and wrong one, but I suspect that one is older. For me for this week only one form worked.
First and I think, the oldest, Inguz form looks like the DNK molecule. And it is not a coincidence. We think that people in the past have not known anything about DNA, but ancient rune has its exact form. And Inguz rune has both the form and meaning: it is connected with heredity and our ancestors, and ancestral traits and values. Inguz signifies importance of both relatives connections and a more distant connection with ancestors that is no less important and valuable. Today we often underestimate this ancestral connection, but it is always there, influencing our lives.
Inguz other meaning – fertility- can be connected to the first one, since it helped to pass our genes to the future generations. Inguz is often connected with passion and sexual attraction and can be used in love formulas. But this is a theory.
For me personally Inguz is mostly a wait. I’ve got Inguz in deviation more than once, and it usually was a long wait for any result. Even when I got it for relationship’s question and though it signified attraction it was just a futile wait. One can say it was wrong deviation – and I thought that too, first time. This result with Inguz continued and it was same too many times to write it off as a coincidence. For me Inguz means you’ll have to wait for a result. I’m not sure if it’s just personal perception but Inguz as no result yet can be seen in its second form – rhombus, or empty space. Maybe we can say that everything began from the empty space and it’s a starting point.
Inguz week was mostly waiting – for the vacation and holidays. It was not a bad week, just mostly anticipation, getting frustrated from everything that distracted from it. It was rather social too, which makes sense, as Inguz goes after two runes Ewaz and Mannaz both signifying connection and it’s form is closed connection.
